To "Kevin" From Mom
You are going to be missed by a lot of people,
But not as much as by your Mom and Dad.
We loved you so much and your leaving has left us so sad.
There is an emptiness in our hearts, that can never be filled,
But we'll have your sweet memories that we can always relive.
The memories from when you were only a child,
Until you grew into a young man,
Only filled twenty one years
And then you were called to the "Promised Land."
You've had a lot of fun and some hard times too,
But we want you to know, that we were always proud of you.
We'll miss that big grin that was always on your face,
And things will never be the same around this place.
You had a lot of friends, even more than I think you knew,
And I'm sure that they will miss you almost as much as we do.
You left two nieces, three nephews, and two sisters behind,
But they all know that you were one of a kind.
So watch over us all from your new home up above,
And we need you the most, please send down your love.
If I know you are watching over us, we won't feel so alone,
And when we meet again, you can take out your guitar
And play "Home Sweet Home".
